41st ANNUAL EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE CANCELLED

For 40 years, rain or shine, the Stevens family and the staff of Stevens Mortuary have been privileged and honored to sponsor an annual Easter Sunrise Service for our community. We've heard the Easter message presented by many well-known local ministers accompanied by wonderful musicians and very talented singers. Preparations had been under way for some time and we were looking forward to our 41 st Annual Easter Sunrise Service, until now.

Unfortunately, present circumstances regarding public health and safety make it impossible for us to move forward. In accordance with directives from the President of the United States, the Governor of Tennessee, the CDC (Center for Disease Control), and the NFDA (National Funeral Directors Association), as well as an abundance of concern for the health and safety of those who would attend, and our staff, we regretfully must cancel this year's sunrise service on April 12, 2020.

The funds we had set aside for the sunrise service will be donated to what we believe to be a worthy cause in our community, the Emerald Youth Foundation. We hope and pray that in these uncertain times the peace and comfort of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will abide with you all. Have a blessed Easter.

HE IS RISEN!

Our Family Honoring Your Family

Stevens Mortuary considers it an honor and a privilege to serve your family during your time of need.

Tom and Bernice Stevens established Stevens Mortuary in 1958 and moved to the present location in 1961. We have remained a family-owned and operated funeral home. You will find that each member of our staff is dedicated to the professional and compassionate care of the families who entrust us with their loved ones. It is our feeling that services should be a tribute to your loved one’s life, as well as meaningful to you now and in the years to come. We offer a full range of personalized funeral services including traditional services, military services for veterans, out-of-state arrangements, and cremation. In addition, we offer a comprehensive pre-planning program for those who want to preplan their funerals.
