Naomi Z. Maples Russell, age 91, of Maryville finished her fight with Parkinson’s March 23, 2019 and is now home with her Lord and Savior. She worked in the cafeteria of Alice Bell Elementary and retired from Knoxville Recreation Centers. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by: husband, James P. Russell; grandson, Brett Russell. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Russell of Riceville, Jerry and Judy Russell of Maryville, Terry and Mary Lee Russell of Knoxville; grandchildren Lee Ann Alderman, Jennifer and Lynn Walker, Jessica and Ryan Hooker, Jeremy and Kerry Russell, José and Desireé Russell, Gabrielle Russell; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and beloved sister and caregiver, Irene Hilton.

Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-7:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at Fairview United Methodist Church, 2508 Old Niles Ferry Rd, Maryville, TN. Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Memorial Park for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
