Loretta Brown Weigel, beloved wife, mom, Mamaw, aunt and friend met her Savior face to face and was reunited with her husband of 58 years, Albert Weigel and granddaughter, Caitlin Duncan, surrounded by her family on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. She was retired from T.V.A. and an active member of the Vaught Association of the United States, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Lutheran Laymen's League. Loretta and Albert were founding and charter members of Christus Victor Lutheran Church.
Proceded in death by parents, Charles and Opal Brown; brothers, Clarence, J.L. Charles, Jr. and Carl.
Survived by children, Lisa Weigel Duncan, Lori Weigel Osborne and Jody (Debbie) Weigel; grandchildren, Erin Haddock, Dustin (Bekah) Haddock, Beth Osborne, Matthew Osborne; great-grandchildren, Gabbi, Catie, Ruthie, Isaac and Caleb; numerous other family and life-long friends.
Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Christus Victor Lutheran Church with Pastor Bill Ondracka officiating. Family and friends will meet 2:45 p.m. Friday at Bookwalter Cemetery for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Memorials may be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 4110 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, TN 37912. Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
