Judy E. Lindsay age 73, of Knoxville. Heaven has a new angel. She was reunited in Heaven with her late husband Roy on Saturday, December 17, 2016. At the time of her husband's death in 2010, they had been married for 53 years. After months of illness, she passed away at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Judy was a food service manager for Knox County Schools for 28 years and an Avon Representative for 13 years. Past Matron of Acacia 362 O.E.S. and member of Acacia-May 24 O.E.S.
Preceded in death by special loving husband, Roy Berry Lindsay, Sr.; parents, John and Annie Rogers; sister, Betty Ann Rogers; twins, Ray Eugene and Faye Evelyn Rogers; brother, John B. Rogers, Jr.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Richard Meltabarger; son and daughter-in-law, Roy Berry Lindsay, Jr. and Brenda; grandson, Roy Berry (Trey) Lindsay III and wife Laura, all of Knoxville; very special brother and "sister", Buddy and Barbara Rogers of Lenoir City; sister-in-law, Doris Triplett of Knoxville; grand dog, Scooter; several nieces and nephews.
Eastern Star Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday conducted by Acacia-May #24 followed by a chapel service at Stevens Chapel with Rev. Mark Moreland officiating. Family and friends will meet 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at Stock Creek Cemetery for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service and interment. Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
