Wills, Gary Charles—age 63 of Knoxville, died on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in his home after a very long battle with several illnesses.
Gary was born on November 25, 1949 in Tecumseh, MI to Charles and Shirley Wills. He was their only child.
He was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses all of his life and found great comfort in the Bible's promises for the future.
In 1968 while still in high school, he started his own business in art and advertising, Pioneer Sign, which he ran for over 40 years. His excellent work and special flare spoke for itself.
Gary always had something to say that brought a smile to your face. His lively, humorous and joyful spirit aided him and his family during his long illness.
Gary is survived by his wife of 41 ½ years, Carolyn; his three daughters, Heather Wills, Krystal Kelley and husband Nathan, and Sonya Nation; his two granddaughters, Alexis and Ashleigh Kelley. His love extended to his honorary children, Steve and Deanna Bussell, Leah Portillo, Jonathan and Calli Bussell, and Michael Portillo. He was pleased to be an honorary grandfather to Ciara Burr, Noah and Elise Bussell, Carlos Portillo and Jackson and Cassidy Bussell,
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on the corner of Emory Road and Norris Freeway on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m.
