McElhaney, Brian “Mack,” age 47 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2018. He was a most precious and loving husband, father and friend. He was a member of Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church, a former member of Sheetmetal Workers Local #5, and a graduate of Powell High School-Class of 1989.

Mack is preceded in death by mother, Phyllis Day McElhaney; grandmother, Carolyn Williams McElhaney; grandfather, Samuel Sidney McElhaney; grandmother, Hazel Ward Day; grandfather, Rufos Day.
Mack is survived by wife, Laura Beth Massey McElhaney; father, Sidney Deony McElhaney; father -in-law, James Massey and mother-in-law, Janice Coram Massey; daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth Hoffer and son-in-law Jason and their daughter, Solaria Rosebeth; sons, William Alexander “Alex” McElhaney, Spencer Christian McElhaney, Sidney James “Jamie” McElhaney, all of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brent Wesley McElhaney and Misty, Gabrial Logan McElhaney and Lilly Anne of Knoxville: aunt, Janice Day Hudson and husband Bobby; aunt, Helen Day Grimm, daughter Penny and her son Kristopher, and son Mike, and son Rick and wife Melanie; aunt, Doris Day Norman and husband Tony of Knoxville and their children Holly and Heather of Nashville; aunt, Samia McElhaney Cardwell, husband Eddie, and son Eric; uncle, Wayne Day and wife Joyce and their children Brandi and Jamie, all of Knoxville.
The family will receive friends 5:00 pm - 7:00 p.m. Saturday December 15, followed by a memorial service in Stevens Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Pastor David Woods and Rev. Chad Powell officiating. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
