Virginia (Ebby) Hans - age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018.
She was a member of Churchwell Avenue Baptist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She was the widow of a World War II and Korean War Veteran, and was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Evelyn Strange; husband, Harvey D. Hans; daughter, Tami Hans; sisters, Nancy Esslinger, and Lynn Garner.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Cole, daughter and son-in-law, Hollie and Greg Hicks; grandchildren, Travis and wife Jessica Cole, Tyler Hans, Megan Cole, Zoe Gibb, Jessica Hicks, Jeremy Hicks, Jake Hicks, and Jaxon Hicks; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Abigail, Emma, Lillyan, and Caylee Cole; sister, Barbara Shinevare; and brothers, John Strange, Paul Doyle, and Mac Strange.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Brother Jimbo Duncan officiating.
The family and friends will meet 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary and go in procession to Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Lyon’s View Pike for a graveside service and interment at 9:30 a.m.
