Hollingsworth, Vada Joyce Baker--age 84 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. She was a retired RN from St. Mary's Medical Center.
Preceded in death by husband, Gene Hollingsworth; parents, Cash and Eva Baker; brother, Cash Baker, Jr.; sister, Anna (Freda) Ridinger.
Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Doug Kerley of Powell, Jan and Dyer Quillin of Charlotte, NC, Jeanie and John Lash of Nashville; sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Beth Hollingsworth of Campbellsville, KY, Rodney and Shannon Hollingsworth of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Kerley, Baker and Holly Quillin, Benjamin, William and Madeline Hollingsworth, Shelby and Carson Lash, Spencer and Sydney Hollingsworth; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Reva Stafford; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Council for the Blind, 4313 Clinton Highway 37912 or to Living Long and Loving It Travelers, Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, 405 Black Oak Dr. 37912.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11 at Stevens Mortuary followed by a 7:00 p.m. chapel service with Dr. Jack Parrott and Dr. Todd Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
