Vittetoe, Tommy--of Blaine, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Norris Health and Rehabilitation. Tommy was a Christian and attended Circle Assembly of God. He was a retired ironworker from Local #384.
Preceded in death by parents, Rhuben and Mamie Vittetoe; sisters, Gertrude Vittetoe and Blanche Thomas.
Survivors: wife and loving companion of 35 years, Barbara Lee Vittetoe; daughters, Angie (David) Snyder, Jamie (Tim) Garner, Michelle Vittetoe, Connie (Tommy) Berry, Rachel (Sam) Mashburn; step-son, Randy Lee; 10 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; sisters, Billie Deaten of Ohio, Margaret Cress of Ohio, Sue Williams (Vernon) Luttrell; brother, Carson (Carlene) Vittetoe Halls; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Sharp Cemetery in Luttrell for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Lee and Tommy's sons-in-law.
A funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in Stevens Chapel with Pastor John Lawson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
