Scott F. Nicley--age 54 of Powell, died November 29, 2016, and was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Scott fought a heroic 3-year battle with a vicious cancer and was a role model for all of us during this trying time.
Scott started at age 18 loading trucks for UPS while attending U.T and finished his career as a manager of the Knoxville terminal. Along the way, he worked on his college degree and graduated from Tusculum College
Scott was a veteran of the USAF and a very proud 28-year member of the 134th Air Refueling Group of the Tennessee Air National Guard, where he held the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and was a veteran of several deployments after 9/11.
Scott is survived by his wife, Sonja (Elliott); daughters, Brittany and Sheena (Justin) Reed; very beloved grandson, Jaxton, He also leaves behind his parents, Doyle H. and Rebecca Nicley; brother, Brett (Becky) Nicley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome and Karen Jarnigan, Greg and Cindy Ludwig, and Jeff Elliott; mother and father-in-law, Marge and Tom Elliott; nieces and nephews, Rachael, Jacob, Justin, Scott, Matt, Katie, Amanda, Andrew and great nephew, Noah; and several friends and relatives

The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Preacher Clarence Gresham officiating.
Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Monday, December 5 at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
