ADKINS, PAULINE HENDERLIGHT of Knoxville went to her heavenly home December 18, 2016, 5 1/2 weeks before her 100th birthday on January 25. Pauline was one of six girls and one boy in the family of John Logan and Katherine Mynatt Henderlight. Pauline was a loving wife to George and special mother to David and Carolyn.
Pauline was raised in McCalla Avenue Baptist Church and was a current member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Trinity Hills Senior Living for 9 1/2 years. She and her sister, Imogene were two of the first residents.
Pauline is predeceased by parents; son, David who died of polio in 1952 at age fifteen; husband George; brother James; sisters, Mary Deck, Othella Jones, Willie Mae Hackett, Imogene Lusk, Jamie Bull; and son-in-law Jim Hammer. Survivors; daughter Carolyn Adkins Hammer and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service and internment with Chaplain David Collins officiating. Call at your convenience Tuesday until 2:00 at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood at North Broadway.
