MARTHA ELIZABETH RUSSELL BLAZIER, age 92, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was a Charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Retired from Sears Roebuck and Company after 28 years of service. She was appointed a Colonel of Tennessee by Governor Ned McWherter in 1993. She was also known as the "Butterfly Lady" of Seymour.
Preceded in death by husband, Herbert W. Blazier; infant son, Herbert W. Blazier, Jr.; parents, Charles & Glennie Russell; brothers, George Russell, James Russell; sisters, Edna Russell, Birtie White & Margaret Ivy; Niece, Katherine Howell.
Survived by; great niece and husband, Gwen & Bobby Morgan who loved her like a mom; great, great niece and husband, Nikki & Jason Carter and their son Tanner who always made her laugh; sister-in-law, Naomi Russell; special nephew & wife, Terry & Mary Lee Russell and many more nephews and nieces too many to list. Best friend of 50+ years, Jo Vaughn who checked on her daily.

Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Highland Memorial Park for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment with Rev. Jerry Russell officiating.
