Louise Carr Brogan age 98, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at NHC Ft. Sanders. She and her husband were members of Smithwood Baptist Church where they served faithfully for 50 years. She loves the Lord with all her heart and soul, and she especially loves other people, serving them as a private duty RN for 32 years and then as an international tour guide for 22 years; she has always been the epitome of the word "Love".
Preceded in death by husband, Malcolm H. (Mal) Brogan; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry and Jodi Brogan; sister and brother-in-law, Helen Carr Love and Clifford Love; brothers, Willard Carr and John Harvey Carr and his wife Sue Garrett Carr.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Ann Brogan; grandchildren, Jessica Brogan and Evan Brogan and his wife Elaine and their mother, Jacque Brogan; great-grandchildren, Liam Maier and Marleigh Baldwin; sister-in-law, Alvilva Ousley Carr; several loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to express the greatest amount of gratitude to the staffs at Elmcroft of Halls and NHC- Ft. Sanders for their special, loving care.
Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Stevens Mortuary followed by an 8:00 p.m. funeral service with Reverend Tony Hurst officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary to go in procession to Carr Cemetery in Maynardville for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service and interment.
