Obituary

KENNETH WAYNE MYNATT- age 80, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 22, 2016 at his home, after fighting a courageous battle with COPD, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a devoted member of Smithwood Baptist Church. He graduated from Fulton High School and proudly served four years active duty in the United States Air Force. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Nell and Walter Mynatt.

Survived by his wife, Catherine G. Mynatt; children, Donna Jean Mynatt Roland (Jeff), Michael Mynatt, Pamela Dugger Jones (Greg), Richard Dugger, Chuck Dugger (Marlo), and Jason Dugger (Mark Von Ohlen); grandchildren, Kevin Monroe, Alexandria Jones, Emily Dugger, Austin Jones (Laken), Kody Dugger, and Rebekah Dugger;
great-grandchild, Sullivan Jones soon to be born.

The Mynatt family would like to express their appreciation to Jennifer Singleton of Amedysis Hospice for the loving care she provided Ken.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24th at Smithwood Baptist Church, 4914 Jacksboro Pike, Knoxville, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Dr. Mark Gaskins officiating. The family and friends will meet 9:15 a.m. Monday at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 East E. Gov. John Sevier Hwy 168, Knoxville, TN for a 9:30 a.m. graveside service and interment. Military honors will be performed by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements by Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smithwood Baptist Church, 4914 Jacksboro Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918.
