Braden, Joseph--age 86, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. Member of Churchwell Avenue Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by wife, Ima Moyers Braden; sister, Nadine Redwine; brother, Wayne Braden.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Tretina and David Carter of Knoxville; son, Stacy L. Braden of Louisville, TN; grandchildren, Zackary and Tyler Duke, Mitchell and Isaiah Carter; sister, Billie Jean Brumfield of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Chapel with Rev. Irby Russell and Rev. Kelsey Jessee officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 12:30 p.m. entombment service. Pallbearers: H.T. Moyers, Richard Moyers, Jerry Moyers, J.R. Campbell, Scott Little, and David Carter. Honorary Pallbearers: Gregory Moyers, Dewayne Redwine, Zackary Duke, Tyler Duke, Mitchell Carter, and Isaiah Carter. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary.
