JESSIE HELEN (MAMA DUCK) BYRGE - age 79, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017. It would have been her Mom's 100th birthday.
Helen was born on July 31, 1938, in Knoxville, Tennessee to Dan D. Warren and Mildred L. Romines Warren. She was their only child. Helen loved all children, kept many in her home over the years, loved them as her own, and to this day remembered all their birthdays. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Chuck Smith.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Diane) Byrge; daughters, Sharon (Johnny) Bales, Gail Hedrick, and daughter and caregiver, Teresa Smith; special caregiver, Freddie Carter; grandsons, Danny Byrge, David (Kellye) Smith, Todd (Sandy) Smith, Craig (Elizabeth) Smith, and Blake Hedrick; granddaughter, Stephanie Coughlin; great-grandsons, Ryan and Logan Smith, and Derek Hedrick; step great-grandson, Brady Hatcher; great-granddaughter, Hannah Matthewson; step great-granddaughters, Heather (Josh) Ramsey, and Kayla Hatcher; step great-great-grandson, Jacob Ramsey.
Per Helen's wishes, there will be an immediate family only private viewing with private burial following.
