Gwendolynn Emmalee Clanton Broyles age 92, of Knoxville, left her earthly home on January 11, 2018 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her focus throughout life was her faith in Jesus, her family, and helping others. She leaves a legacy of love for family and friends. Gwenndolynn was born December 12, 1925 in Knoxville, TN. She married the love of her life, Earl Austin Broyles, following his return from serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Preceded in death by her husband; parents, George Drew and Pauline Clanton; brother, George Raymond Clanton, Sr.
Survivors: daughter, Pamela (Lewis) Rogers; grandson, Jason Grady; granddaughter, Catherine Grady (Yuriy) Iskrenko; great-granddaughter, Lily Alexandra Iskrenko; special extended family, Brian Grady, Cheryl Phillips, and Donna Truan.
Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Stevens Mortuary followed by a 7:00 p.m. chapel service with Rev. Sherry Seay officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
