Gerald F. Berney age 95, of Powell, died January 28, 2017. He was at peace with everyone, especially his Lord. He lived a full life and enjoyed every minute. He was a person who treated everyone with fairness and respect. He was a life-long member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church where he met his wife, Mickey. They were married at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church where they recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary surrounded by their loving family. Gerald and his wife lived life to the fullest. They traveled to England and Switzerland and visited the home of Paul and Emily Berney, his grandparents in Vallee de Joux, Switzerland. They also traveled all over the United States and Canada. He also loved his Tennessee Vols and even traveled to the 1940 Rose Bowl. He retired from Beaty Chevrolet after 36 years of service. His favorite thing though was to be with his relatives and church family. Even though he won't be with us physically, we will always feel his spirit which will sustain us.
