Clark, Fred L. age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Shannondale Healthcare Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Fred was a self-taught man of many talents including, music, sailing, blacksmithing, photography, woodworking, and many others.
Preceded in death by wife, Jamia Scott Clark; parents, Earl and Lucy Clark; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Roland Whittle; grandsons, Wayne Lee Clark and Jeffery Adam Clark; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Dona Scott.
Survivors: daughter, Kathy Thacker of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Ginger Clark of Seymour, Wayne and Bobbie Clark of Knoxville, Todd and Angie Clark of Halls; grandchildren, Lezlie Thacker Gann, Jason Clark, Laura Cox Humphrey, Mandie Thacker Beeler (Patrick), Lesli Cox, Hannah Clark Felix (Eric), Lindsay Clark, Ashley Clark Georgakopoulos (Pano), Heather Clark, and Aaron Clark; great-grandchildren, Stephen and Cody Gann, Skylar and Tia Switzer, Eli and Evan Humphrey; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Bells Campground Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment with Chaplain Lee Lyon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee, 2200 Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37919. Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
