Butler, Dorothy Headrick age 89, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her home. Dorothy had a great sense of humor, she was an avid reader and loved gardening.
Preceded in death by first husband, Clifford Headrick; sister and brother-in-law, Toni and Red Pinson.
Survivors: husband of 65 years, Robert D. Butler of Knoxville; daughter, Karen Butler Hunley and husband, Con Hunley of Knoxville; daughter, Suzanne Butler of Charlotte, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Linda Headrick of Good Year, AZ; granddaughter, Brittany Logan Hunley of Greenville, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Chan and Carroll Reep of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service and interment with Rev. Robert H. Bean officiating. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dorothy's caregivers, Miranda Parton, Becky Weaver and Billie. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Smoky Mountain Hospice, especially to Rhonda Talley, Shawna Isom and Ms. Pearl. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
