Obituary

Whitfield, Charlotte Pauline "Polly" Troutman age 82, of Knoxville, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 19, 2013. She was a member of Second United Methodist Church and retired from Knox County Court Clerks Office.

Preceded in death by husband, Captain Roy T. Whitfield (retired from Knoxville Police Department); parents; brother, Melvin Troutman.

Survivors: daughter, Nancy Whitfield Payne; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Pat Whitfield; grandchildren, Jordan Thomas and Leslie Claire Payne; sister, Martha Dinkens; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Evangeline Troutman.

Family and friends will meet 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. graveside service and interment with Chaplain Tom Rayford officiating. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
