WATSON, CHARLES L. JR. - age 92, of Knoxville, passed away 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Tennova Residential Hospice.
He was the owner/operator of Watson Furniture Shop and Nifty Letter Shop, a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church, Master Lodge #244 F & AM, and a US Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nannie Watson; and sister, Margaret (Peg) Sartin.
Survivors: wife of 71 years, June Watson; daughter, Cheryl (Bitsi) Watson; son and daughter-in-law, Charles III and Nancy Watson all of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lisa Watson of Powell; grandchildren, Josh and Valerie of Kentucky, Luke and Rachel of Nashville, Beth, Nicholas, and Callie of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Jake and Max of Kentucky; sisters, Mary (Tommie) Solomon of Knoxville, and Doris Roberts of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

The family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 1:00 p.m. with William Wayne Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
