BOBBIE MAE BANNISTER SURRETT - age 81, of Newport, passed away 5:10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at her home.

She was an avid piano player who loved everybody, and was loved by everybody. She was member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville, and preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Clyde Surrett; and parents, Harry and Margaret Bannister.

Survivors: son, Gary Surrett (Glenda) of Cosby; daughter, Margaret Carver (Ralph)
of Knoxville; grandchildren, Amy Davis (Ed), Aleshia McClain (Alan), Amanda Forrester (Brad), Sarah Morse (Tim), John Carver (Michelle), Will Carver, and Buddy Elmore; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Bannister (Evelyn) and children, Jack and Devonia; special friends, Linda Loveland (Dennis), Patricia Ford, and Sherry Lawson.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway. A funeral service will follow at
2:00 p.m. with Reverend Fred Cagle officiating. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
